Pam Bromley has over a decade of experience teaching academic writing to undergraduate students. Through an engaging theme (such as justice, tourism, or pedagogy), she begins her courses by teaching critical reading skills and short, analytical response papers and concludes with longer argumentative research-based assignments. She uses a carefully scaffolded writing process where students receive and respond to feedback both within and across assignments. Her research focuses on how ideas influence individuals and institutions, both in writing and in politics. Pam currently teaches and works with students, faculty, and writing tutors on all aspects of academic and professional writing at Scripps College.
